FUTURE

The former Parkland United Methodist Church is being purchased by The Franklin Pierce School District. It will be remodeled to become the Early Childhood Development School for the Franklin Pierce School District which is expected to open in the fall of 2015.

PUMC's CHURCH GARDEN

PUMC's CHURCH GARDEN is continuing thru the 2014 season. Thru September 8th this year's garden has produced over 700 pounds of food for the S.E. FISH Food Bank at 85th and Portland Ave.
On Aug. 18 over 100 pounds of food was taken to the SPANAWAY FISH FOOD BANK located at Spanaway Lutheran Church. They were very pleased to get the fresh produce as one of their refrigerators wasn't working and they hadn't had a delivery of fresh produce. Picked on Sept. 8th were basil, green beans, beets, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, lemon cucumbers, leaf lettuce, patty pan squash, swiss chard, red & yellow tomatoes, turnips, yellow crookneck squash, and zucchini.
